Try to be there with your screen on as much as possible. We want to see your beautiful face:) Since most of the subjects we will be covering are contained (in depth) in the videos that are available, there will not be a recording of the conference given. We may be breaking up into groups (Zoom will randomly pick) and you'll go into the respective breakout rooms. This is a fun way to learn where dance is in the Bible and why we dance before the Lord! We will do at least the first 3 words, but should time allow, possibly more.
This conference activation sheet shows a very small excerpt taken from the Dance, Dance, Dance book and it is also shown on the Dance, Dance, Dance video.
The ending dance concert is always a highlight of any conference. It is a very comfortable, relaxed atmosphere where we get to see what dances you have been given by the Lord. Please know that we are all here to support and encourage one another and will so appreciate seeing your dance. You do not need to be a professional at all! Simply have a worshipper's heart:) So, if it has been on your heart to present a dance, please do!
This is the current information on who desires to dance in the concert, along with their song information. As we draw closer to the time, this will be updated with more dances and the correct order. I will be downloading your music and putting it on one playlist to go into my iPod. My playing it through the microphone will help the concert to run smoothly and sound very good. This process of downloading and transferring the music, etc. takes time. So, thank you for sending your song name/artist and where to find it (special version, etc.) no later than July 6th. Thank you.
1. Amy H. - Song - Shoulders/For King & Country
After David confessed his sin to God, he said, “You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble, You surround me with songs of deliverance," (Psalm 32:7). this hiding place is a place of heavenly praise — God surrounded him with songs / joyful shouts of deliverance.
- have been treated unjustly or feel betrayed
- beaten by the circumstances of life, have cares and fears
- chained by our sin and the sin of others against us.
- maybe holding on to anger or resentment/unforgiveness
as we praise our God in spite of the world around us, as He breaks chains and walls and changes hearts and lives and bathes our wounds and brings us bread, we rejoice.
Truly, “All our springs of joy are in the Lord” (Psalm 87:7).
He hears you when you cry - Let go of cares and fears -
Song 1: “Singing Over You” by Winston Davenport
ACTIVATION: Sit in the middle of billow (preferably blue) put in a circle. This is your hiding place and then the springs of joy. Be encompassed in that place of safety as you pray.
Have 2 flags or veils or cloths (something to wave). Put 1 to the right, one to the left (on top of the billow). Each of these will represent God dancing and singing songs of deliverance over you.
Pray and ask the Holy Spirit show you up to 2 things that are most pressing on your heart (like from list above). Take the first song to write them down and place them by each of the flags.
Then once they are all written, look at each situation, yet focusing on the Lord. Then pick up one of the flags (while seated) and let go of that particular care or fear, by crumpling the paper with one hand while waving the flag over that situation. As you wave the flag “let go” or throw away that care and fear. Repeat with the other one.
If the first time through felt like you were just going through the motions, keep repeating until you get your breakthrough. Even into the 2nd song.
Song 2: “Shulamite Song” by Kristie Levesque at (3 min 15 seconds) for worship.
During the second song, either continue focusing on the Lord and see Him singing/dancing over you until breakthrough and/or begin to stand and worship to the Lord as He is singing over you. Maybe pick up the ends of the billow cloth and dance joyfully as they become like your ‘springs of joy.’ Rejoice in the Lord, thanking Him for His songs of deliverance.
