The technique in the video is spot on & it helps me to practice each of the different positions and to correct myself if I made a mistake with the specific technique. Pros: Overall this a great intensive workout video for keeping yourself in shape for Ballet and keeping up on all of the Ballet stretches and positions. I also love the Reverence exercise at the end, it's a really beautiful exercise giving Glory, Honor and Reverence to the Lord!

Pros: As an adult who is discovering Ballet and Worship Dance, I found Pastor Lynn Hayden’s Ballet I easy to understand and a good foundation for the basics of how to move the hands and feet and then progress from bar movements to center work and across the floor. You are never too old to learn Ballet and Pastor Lynn shows modifications and tips to protect the body as you are learning.

Pros: I thoroughly enjoyed the Ballet I DVD and learning all the terminology and the movements. I feel so much more knowledgeable now in ballet basis and want to take all I have learned and apply in my dancing.

This download is of the same caliber and makes it possible to do an entire ballet class anywhere by making it available for download. Pros: The Ballet Basic I workout is a great workout for beginners to Ballet! You learn the Basics, as Lynn explains them very thoroughly. I appreciate also very much, that each exercise is shown very slowly and Lynn makes clear, that there are no limits in age to do them, if you are willing. You have to make sure, that you listen to your body and only do as much, as it allows you to do, but otherwise, with discipline and exercise there is no reason why you can´t dance ballet.

Pros: The video is divided into three parts: ballet basics, detailed instruction and a class that goes through all the exercises without interruption. I’m really impressed with the thoroughness of the instruction. Lynn and her two assistants spend considerable time going through each exercise. She takes the time to demonstrates each exercise with the front and the side views. She also highlights the position of each part of our body, making it easy when you are trying to perfect an exercise. I also like how she translates the name of each exercise because it typically explains what the move is trying to accomplish. I look forward to incorporating the third section into my weekly exercises for years to come!

Pros: This product meets expectations. It is recommended for those with strong knees who know the risks of doing ballet on carpet. The outstanding features are its clear instructions, concise format and glorious worship music.

Pros: I used this DVD as a 'bootcamp' to help me assimilate into an Intermediate Ballet class at a local dance studio. During the three week Christmas break, I watched and did this DVD at least twice a week. When I resumed class in January, I was more confident and was able to do the moves on the barre without struggling to remember what was a tendu or how to start a rond de jamb! The teacher also noticed the improvement in my posture! Thanks!

I love how Pastor Lynn broke down the DVD in a format as she would teach a class. Breaking it down into 3 segments, barre work, center floor and across the floor makes for a wonderful progression as each prepares for the next. The cautions and things to watch out for that Pastor Lynn points out is also very helpful to avoid hurting yourself and the focus of details to make sure the exercises are being done properly is of great value. Pros: I have been working out with this DVD and really love it. Pastor Lynn gives clear instruction easy to follow. Though I enjoy having this for my own workout it is a great instructor's resource. To teach a ballet class you can confidently base your class on this DVD with all the basic positions, posture and class structure. All unto the glory of God!

Pros: The one exercise I would really like to focus on over the next several months would be the Port de Bra in the center work. I really want to memorize the order, terms and body positions that Pastor Lynn covers in the DVD. After plié and tendu for strengthening, I believe upper body fluidity is especially important as many worship teams’ first “steps” come in the form of “follow the leader” type ministry using primarily arm movements.

Pros: One of the things that impacted me of this video was Reverence not sure how to spell it but it means like reverence to the teacher but Pastor Lynn teaches the all reverence to the Lord she states in the movie “but we will reverence to the Lord” to me those words that statement said more. Even that Pastor Lynn is a pastor a teacher and much more she turned it around to our God our Lord it taught me that we need to humble our self ALL the time it doesn’t matter where we are standing student, leader, teacher, mentor, pastor, prophet, apostle etc. All glory, honor and reverence is to HIM. It so much impacted me that I learned it I taught it to a group of dance members in my church for an expo that we presented in March and it looked lovely

Pros: It is a great DVD for beginners that have little or no knowledge of ballet danceing! I practiced the exercises which was difficult at the beginning as my body was stiff. Gradually, it was easier and I began to sense my body becoming easier to move with the instructions. I believe the big part is how Ps Lynn was careful and clear in her instructions. Her approach was very inviting and cautioning what not to do as a first timer learning to articulate in body movements. It is a thorough teaching in just one DVD for a beginner teaching from the Basics to the Straight Dancing of Ballet!

Pros: Having no dance background AT ALL, I found this DVD to be very helpful in explaining the different components of the basics of ballet. I'm surprised that when I follow the instructions how great of a workout for my core muscles in the basic ballet moves. These are great tools for me as I want so much to build on my dance vocabulary and moves.

Pros: This was an awesome first time ever introduction to Ballet Dance. I never had the chance as a girl to learn and to finally get the chance to learn now at 40y.o. I am grateful for the explanations. With a Physical Therapy background, I appreciated the precautions Lynn pointed out and the descriptions of muscles to contract in order to produce that movement correctly.

Pros: Ballet 1 by Dancing For Him Ministries is a great review of ballet basics, covering exercises using the barre and the center floor. It is 2 hours long and is broken into three sections including explanation and demonstration of the barre exercises, the floor exercises and the last section is all of the exercises straight through. My favorite part about this DVD was that she breaks down the ballet vocabulary, making it easier to remember. The presentation of the DVD is also very positive and encouraging. I am a worship dancer and found this DVD to be a great source to give me a good understanding of ballet basics in a format that was easy to use and follow. I highly recommend!

Pros: With Ballet, getting the basics right is very important and this video does a GREAT job of laying a solid foundation. All parts of a typical ballet class are covered, with each exercise described and demonstrated completely. It is helpful to hear the explanation of how to do the exercise at the same time as watching it done as a lot of ballet terminology is in French. It’s not easy to take a class without a teacher present to help correct things, but because Lynn does such a good job of explaining and demonstrating, following her in the movements was much easier. Great initial video with lots of solid meat in it!

Pros: I was thrilled to watch Ballet I after not doing ballet most of my life since taking ballet lessons as a child. Seeing and re-learning ballet again as an adult and with eyes on the Lord, made every move in the Ballet 1 seem like a prayer. The opening of the arms, the pointing of the feet, a glance to an outstretched arm, all emphasize careful attention to the body`s alignment. Pastor Lynn`s thorough teaching and the two graceful dancer assistants working together make this a perfect `class` for learning ballet basics that can be used in worship dance.

Pros: This was very easy to understand, very clear. I appreciate the way the dancers demonstrated everything slowly as Pastor Lynn was explaining the moves. Being new to formal dance, especially ballet, I learned many things, from the room arrangement to the basic moves to the way to make moves "flow," as well as the importance of proper alignment. I believe anyone would find this easy to follow, and be deeply inspired by the anointed worship song at the beginning of the video.

Pros: A traditional ballet class may not be possible for everyone to attend; an awesome alternative is the Ballet 1. This is an excellent product and one that is easy to understand and follow. Pastor Lynn Hayden helps you feel that you can do ballet no matter what age. This is a true gem and I highly recommend it for anyone who is taking their first ballet class or if even if you are an advance ballet dancer.

Pros: I love that it offers a ballet class that is Christian based. Instead of traditional classical music, Christian music is being played while you are learning ballet. The Christian music made the class more spiritual and peaceful. Even though I enjoyed the entire class, I really liked the ending in giving reverence and praises to the Lord.

Pros: I love this video! It had me feeling like a princess. Pastor Lynn is a wonderful teacher. In the video, her dancer simply and clearly demonstrates each position, exercise and movement as it is explained. It is done slow enough to catch on but quick enough to push you toward dilegence. Pros: This is an excellent and thorough beginner ballet class. I love the way it is divided with the thorough explanations of each exercise, (including detailed coaching about correct alignment and form AND what to watch out for, in terms of mistakes) separate from a more streamlined run through of the whole class. I love it because it enables me, once I have studied the exercises, to take a full class without stopping. Even the run through, though has coaching about form and alignment. This is an excellent resource.

Pros: I like ballet, but I've always thought it very complicated and hard to learn. In this DVD, Pastor Lynn showed me that ballet can be simple and fun! It was also very nice to do ballet exercises with worship music played on the piano. I've never done ballet exercises to worship music, so that was a pleasant surprise!

Pros: This DVD is a fantastic introduction to ballet. It's the ballet class I've always wanted to participate in but never had the opportunity. Having very little prior ballet experience, I appreciate Pastor Lynn's clear and detailed instructions on each move and I found great satisfaction in learning the names of the moves as well as proper technique. This video is going to give me a solid ballet foundation that I know will enhance and strengthen my dancing.

Pros: This was definitely a great DVD. I was able to follow each exercise without pressure. I have seen, and tried other ballet videos before, but this is one that I would definitely follow twice a week for the first three months of class. Seeing as this is the first course, and there have been reviews that this DVD has improved dancers performance, I am really excited to see what I will be able to do at the end of April.
