Creative Worship - Book

Pros: This book really exemplifies creativity in worship dance. I enjoyed the many ideas explained and demonstrated during team practice time, praise and worship and/ or choreographed dances, that can add creativity in worship unto the Lord.

Pros: I picked this book up at my first dance conference with Pastor Lynn and I have to say there is nothing like having the real tangible paper book in hands. I had the digital form, but not the same. This book is soo good and I was able to finish it while waiting for my doctor's appointment. Sooo good and within 30 mins had it finished. The more one goes over information, the more one learns and retains and learns something new every time.. Enjoy!!

Pros: I absolutely loved learning about so many creative ways of developing new movements in a group. I feel as though I’ve been given a suitcase packed with activities to keep Praise and Worship dance, fresh and diverse. I am looking forward to the time when I am able to use these ideas.

Pros: This is an incredible tool for leading dance and movement ministry practices and workshops. Each section has many examples of how to do creative activities that when practiced to familiarity could be used in the church worship service or even during sermons. Not only are these great activities to practice for an end goal, but the actual activities in and of themselves cultivate creativity and unity with every designated time of participation.

Pros: The Book Creative Worship by Lynn Hayden, goes hand in hand with the DVD by the same name. There is information in the book that can be seen with demonstrations on the DVD. This way if you do not have access to the DVD say at a practice, you can bring the book and get the same information to help instruct you. It is wonderful to have both as “a picture is worth a thousand words” as the saying goes.

Pros: This is a great book to go along with the DVD. Great mirroring techniques, echoing and learning about shapes. I loved the Sculpting ideas! Great Book!

Pros: This book is bursting with creative worship ideas to use for yourself and/or with your team! Not only does it describe how to expand movement ideas for praise and worship, but it also goes into explaining how we can use scripture and monologues in our worship experiences. Pastor Lynn gives creative movement ideas for when we are running short on time to choreograph either before or even during worship. These exercises can be used during worship practices so they can be applied during a worship service, a conference or a dance ministry piece. It is definitely a book to keep by your side!

Pros: This book includes many descriptive photographs. It will help any dance team get out of a basic routine, experienced during praise and worship. Instead of spending most of the worship time either following the leader or individual dancing. This book will give many ideas for creative cohesiveness and coordinated effort. A must have for sure!

Pros: An eye opener for those who think everything has be evenly spaced, always in sync and symmetrical in patterns. I really enjoyed the push to think outside the box, be spontaneous and out of the ordinary!

Pros: There are so many opportunities in dance for creative expression, but at times every choreographer needs assistance to pull out creativity, and the dancers themselves may need to be loosened to perform creatively. The Creative Worship Book is a wonderful resource to help dance teams become comfortable with themselves and with other team members. I marked on the front cover of my book, “Desk Reference”. So that in my sea of Dancing for Him Resources I will not forget that this one has some extremely helpful and practical movement ideas to build and expand our team’s repertoire.

Pros: This book will introduce you to several exercises that you can use in worship, with your team or even in your own home! I still pull it out to refresh my memory. A must buy!

Pros: Very good DVD. Pastor Lynn was really creative with the movement. The one like was called mirror it is to activate the dancer in following another, so that during spontaneous dancing, it appears as though it is choreographed. Must have in your library.

It contains concepts and exercises that make a team called of and anointed by God able to start working together in unity. It gives a blueprint for team building exercises which can help form and orientate new team members.

Pros: Creative Worship Book I don’t know how to express in words what to say as I loved the DVD and as I said before I learned a lot watching the DVD as it is very important and extremely helpful. Also it is very enriching to have all the ideas which was given to us in the DVD on a hard copy along with the creative worship book to have and go through every once in a while to review and keep them by heart. Pros: Creative Worship is a must resource to use to expand ministry and dancing ability. It takes what visually seems complicated and makes it simple to create and do. It truly helped me expand choreography no matter in what kind of situation (prepared or spontaneous) and still do it in excellence, keeping in mind all levels of ability, while keeping in mind the first thing: to lift our praise and worship to the Lord instead of constantly thinking when to do what and how to do it.

They are very, very easy to use for both the trained dancer or complete beginner.
