In this course, you will learn and practice some basic fundamentals of pageantry, using flags or banners. This will, in partnership with the Holy Spirit, stimulate creativity, enhancing your movement vocabulary and choreography ideas when using these tools in spontaneous worship dance or choreography.

This course is about pageantry (movements using worship tools), with an emphasis on flags or banners. Starting with a scriptural foundation for movement/use of banners/worship tools, it will give you a greater understanding about the meaning behind and scriptural significance of banners and color. It will teach you some foundational movements that will enhance your movement vocabulary while dancing/moving/worshipping and choreographing with flags. While stimulating your own creativity (giving you tools and a foundation on which to build your own movement vocabulary), you'll also gain fluidity, grace (while using the tools), and a treasure trove of creative ideas.
This course is designed to take about 4-10 weeks (depending on how much time/effort you devote to it). But you may study and practice at whatever pace you desire (up to 6 months for certification). You may optionally audit the course (not pursuing certification) and will have access for one year. If you audit, you may study at your leisure without having to turn in any assignments. You must decide which option you want during the enrollment.
AUDIT OR CERTIFICATION
We are so grateful and blessed you are considering participating in one or more Dancing For Him Ministries Continuing Education courses. These are self study courses, so you may go at your own pace and your own timing, studying at your leisure.
AUDIT You may enjoy the growth and learning experience gained through practicing these classes without having to do any assignments, uploads or exams. This would be considered 'auditing' the course, and no certificate will be given. Simply have one year to enjoy the journey...
CERTIFICATION If, upon registration, you chose to receive a Continuing Education Certificate (within 6 months of the date you registered), you would have assignments to complete. They would look like this below, depending on which type of course:
1. Upload a Youtube video of yourself teaching some exercises from some classes in the course session. The place to insert your video will be either at the bottom of the course page, or under the particular lesson. 1a. If you are a DFH Alumni, please also place at least one of your assignment videos into the DFH Alumni Facebook Page.
2. Some courses may require a written essay (minimum 200 words) as it pertains to a particular book or video.
3. Do a brief video evaluation, and written evaluation of the course, as if you were telling a friend about how you liked it and what you gained from the experience. 3a. If you are a DFH Alumni, please also place your video evaluation assignment video into the DFH Alumni Facebook Page.
4. Once you have fully completed the entire course and its assignment uploads, please email Lynn Hayden. Tell her you will have completed the course and you would like a Continuing Education Certificate of completion. She will examine your work and if everything is satisfactorily completed, she will then email you a PDF of your Continuing Education certificate of completion. There is an additional administration fee of $12 added at checkout, should you choose certification.
This continuing education (on demand) course in pageantry is a series of classes (previously done online, but some recorded in HD, edited and expanded) presented in a relaxed, comfortable, follow along style (for any level, no matter what your previous training was). Yet each class has unique nuances.
They are all taught by Pastor Lynn Hayden in an 'in home setting,' showing that you too, may enjoy participating in learning to move with flags in the comfort of your own home.
These courses are highly recommended for those who have graduated from the DFH online school, to maintain your license. However, you do not have to be a part of the DFH school to enroll in these continuing education courses.
With this and the other courses, just having that arsenal of movement resident inside of you will enhance your ability to choreograph or move spontaneously, as Holy Spirit inspires you. More than just taking an in-depth course, it is a wealth of valuable information that will help you grow in your call to minister to, with, for and before the Lord.
